March 2021 Workshop with David McEown
Workshop – Icebergs, Mountains and Glacial Reflections
David McEown is well known and well loved by TWS members. This workshop focused on Canadian icebergs and rocky mountain lakes. David McEown’s work has been featured in Canadian Geographic and many other journals and his plein air painting expeditions to Antarctica, the Canadian North and the Canadian west coast have become world famous.
Apart from his immense talent as a painter and teacher David has a positive approach to painting (and life) that made this challenging workshop welcoming and confidence building. David showed how to make an infinite variety of greys, blues and purples to bring pop and sizzle to mountains, lakes, oceans and icebergs.
David is also a whiz at leveraging multiple cameras and zoom technology effortlessly to create the very best possible experience for students. Every student in this workshop gave it 100% and the results were amazing. Check them out.
